This Changes Everything

You may have heard – our original Facebook Group suffered from a technical glitch after its suspension (which Facebook retracted) that landed it somewhere in purgatory.

I’ve been unable to get a response from the Facebook Tech teams, so I started a new Group.

Before we get to that:

Every post I made at the previous group is here.

Our Resources Page with all of the peptide content you’re looking for is here. 🧬

The New Group:

To make sure this new group doesn’t get suspended, I spoke to Social Media Compliance Experts and AI 🧐

What they advised

• Facebook & other social media platforms prohibit the transaction and promotion of restricted or regulated goods.

• Many peptides are not yet formally recognized by the FDA as dietary ingredients / supplements – even if it says dietary supplement on the bottle.

Algorithms often lump these peptides into regulated goods because they aren’t standard vitamins or minerals. 😔

We need to operate under the assumption that the algorithm believes they are restricted goods.

With this lens, anyone instructing others on how to use them or where to buy them is violating community standards.

What CAN be discussed

According to Meta’s Community Standards, Facebook explicitly allows “discussing scientific or medical merits” of restricted or regulated goods.

They prohibit the transaction and promotion of use, but they protect the discussion of information.

  • Mechanisms of Action: How peptides work at a cellular level
  • Clinical Studies & Data: Summaries of peer-reviewed research and scientific findings
  • General Definitions: What these molecules are and their biological roles
  • Science Updates: New discoveries in peptide research and cellular health

What CANNOT be discussed

Again, I don’t believe these peptides are restricted or regulated goods, but if an algorithm thinks they are, then that’s what counts.

Facebook’s algorithms scan for language that encourages “human consumption” or “health outcomes,” even if you include a “research only” disclaimer.

  • Sourcing & Vendors
    • Brand Names & Specific Products – Referring to a brand name can be flagged as a recommendation which is not allowed for restricted goods.
    • Pricing & Logistics – Cannot discuss costs, shipping, payment methods or give links or coupon codes.
  • Medical Claims – Cannot discuss restricted goods as a treatment for any specific medical condition.
  • Personal Advice & Dosing: Cannot provide protocols.
    • Personal Anecdotes: These are flagged as advice for human consumption.
  • Private Messaging: asking others to DM you about restricted goods is a red flag

Now what?

Like me, you’re probably thinking, most of the reasons we want a group are not allowed.

I don’t have any answers.

All we can do is try to not upset the algorithm and see how it goes.

You never know unless you try.

See you there, for lots of science! 🔬

P.S. All of the info we can’t discuss, you can always find at this resources page

Nothing in the group or at the website is to be taken as medical advice
