Premium (Lyo) vs. Non-Lyo

This is an email sent from Limitless:

If you’ve spent any time in our catalog, you’ve noticed two kinds of products, lyophilized (lyo) and non-lyophilized (non-lyo).

The names get thrown around a lot in research circles, but what they actually mean and why they look so different isn’t always explained clearly.

We wanted to fix that.

So we went straight to the source.

Ashley Dilgard, Lab Manager – lyophilized vial (right) and non-lyophilized vial (left)

Non-lyo: very, very concentrated.

Lyo: the freeze-dried solid puck. Same compound, different form.
